This is the main battle theme for the game. Give a listen if you have some time. I would prefer that you use Windows Media Player as the quality may differ through other products (it sounds fine on a RMXP loop). Also, the fanfare at the end was written by Liam.

I'm more into 8bit-32bit sounds, I really don't like most newer OST's. Like, it dosen't appeal to me, it may be the higher production values. I just like that 'old school' sound I guess.

I love VGM. So much. I used to listen to it it exclusively, as nothing else would satisfy my eardrums. Naturally that got boring after a while, especially since the dope-as-fuck soundtracks are becoming increasingly few and far between. Kinda has to do with videogames and their increasingly cinematic style, an approach that seems to lend itself to cookie-cutter orchestral scores that I haven't been able to appreciate much at all (out-of-context, at least.)

but even though other genres are awesome to explore, I always find myself coming back to game music in some way. Can't really shake it off; this stuff's just too awesome.

one composer that I love, and I think hasn't been mentioned yet is Hiroki Kikuta, the dude who composed some absolutely bitchin' beats for the earlier Seiken Densetsu (Secret of Mana) games. Love that guy.

Koji Kondo is still one of my favorite composers, the tunes he created for Ocarina of Time, and the work he put forth on the Windwaker soundtracks helped make the games fucking fantastic. I don't think OoT MM or WW would be nearly as good without the amazing OSTs they featured.
