The night sky was a deep haze, small transparent breath clouds escaped the lips of a fair young woman as she ran down an alleyway. A man was running away from her and she did her best to catch up. An iron fence cornered the man and he began to climb it, stumbling by his miscalculated landing. The young woman smiled under a flickering light, she hopped over the fence and just as she was about to grab him the man attempted to kick her, a forearm was raise to block the kick and tried a second time to grab him--but he broke loose immediately leaving her with a small piece of clothing.
“Get back here you coward!” Zhara shouted from the top of her lungs as she continued her chase. It was no use, the man was determined to escape, thoughts began to fill her mind over her current situation. This was one of Yarsgi’s accomplices, that had attempted to kill her in the middle of the night while she slept--yet he ran away as soon as she stabbed his arm. Eventually the loss of blood would ware him out so she beat the crap out of him and get some answers.
The man pressed on until he pushed someone down to the ground and continued to run away, silvery eyes widened as she tried to slow down but to no avail she tripped over the unsuspecting bystander and rolled across the street.
“What---” Zhara did her best to catch her breath now, disappointed that she couldn’t catch up any further. The frustration began to built as she turned sharply at the man who was barely getting up--he was hardly hurt from the sudden push to the ground. “I lost him, this is your fault!” A fair hand pounded the concrete as and got up dusting some of her clothes. “Who takes a walk in the middle of night anyway? If it wasn’t for you I would have caught that bastard!” Her hands began to shove him, her anger couldn’t be suppressed and she had no one to take it on but on this man she never met before. Without a second thought Zhara attempted to punch him, pulling back her arm and thrusting her fist forward.

Unheard are the thoughts of the weak willed
A city. Something Shokai had not seen in millenia, he prefered remaing unseen and unheard amoungst the forests he called home for weeks on end. But this night was different, something drew him here. A slight chuckled escaped his narrow pressed lips.
"Fate has odd ways of working. Nevertheless its yet to fail me...I trust it will not fail me again"
He continued his stride down the concrete walkway, the clicking of his heels preceeding him. His loose blackened whipped gently in the slight breeze, a small silver shimmer barely escaping its cloth protection over the right hip. He continued his stride, his angelic silver hair glimmering in the moonlight when the clouds allowed it to and the buildings gave way to the moons shine.
"Man made...how far humans have steeped these days. No longer do they rely on nature. Heh, in fact they do everything to block it out. Pathetic" he ended with a small grunt, a white puff coming from his nose.
As he continued he heard something in the distance
“Get back here you coward!”
Shokai turned slightly, the pointed parts of his ears now poking through his silver hair. Footsteps started growing more and more audible as he listened, but continued his stride. Without notice Shokai was suddenly on the ground, his hands bracing his fall as some human pushed by him, looking as though he was running from someone or something.
"Fool...if I had a second more you'd be d-"
Before he could finish someone else had managed to trip over his body that now lay on the ground. He merely was flattened out once again, but quickly regained his orientation and began to stand up. A small thump came from the direction of the ungraceful woman.
“I lost him, this is your fault!”
Shokai merely dusted himself off, not giving her the pleasure of looking into his eyes. He grunted slightly. The woman had began to speak again.
“Who takes a walk in the middle of night anyway? If it wasn’t for you I would have caught that bastard!”
Shokai now looked into her eyes, deeply, looking for something. Before he could find what he was looking for she had thrust a fist at him. He immediately sidestepped this punch, pushing the fist out of the way with his right hand and quickly turning himself so that they were back to back. A chuckling sound had escaped his lips.
This could be interesting dearest Shokai
A familiar voice rang in his head.
Very interesting indeed
The voice was of Terari Galonendel. The body in which Shokai walked around in was his, but their souls had never merged properly, and remained seperate entities. But the third...lay dormant.
Yes...yes it could Terari...this could prove most interesting
"Perhaps you would not have tripped over one such as myself if you were more aware of your surroundings?" Shokai could not help but smile "But then again, you are a woman"
He took a small step forward, and turned to face her back. As he turned his cloak had been shed, and a hilt on his right and left hip had been revealed. His hair fall gracefully behind him. His narrow black eyes looked upward as he pointed to the moon.
"Beautiful isn't it? Shame you humans block out most of nature with your...artificial lighting...to think I almost forgot why I rarely venture into concrete cities...pathetic, hmph"
His left hand slid gently over his body as he wrapped his long pail fingers over the white hilt as drew it. The sound of metal grinding upon its encasement penetrated the stale night air and he held it by his side.
"Perhaps you should think before attacking someone you do not know"
A small curve came to the left side of his mouth.
"but it seems fate has decided your death be now...I do not want to dissapoint her now do I?"
With that Shokai had bent his right knee to the ground, touching it upon the concrete then lifting into the sky in a large leap. He brought the sword over his shoulder as he came to the ground once again, and slashed twice at the midsection of this woman, about to land a few feet in front of her.
I do hope fate has chosen her target wisely

Zhara’s arm flew past the stranger’s face, missing him by just inches from a few strands of his silvery hair--which matched the same hue of her eyes. A brow was arched as he spoke, his tone of voice was unusual "Perhaps you would not have tripped over one such as myself if you were more aware of your surroundings?" Shokai could not help but smile "But then again, you are a woman"; the man before her exposed peculiar features under the street light, such as long pointed ears and fair hair. It was obvious that he was not from around the city, his reasons for being out at this time of the night was still unknown--even though she indirectly asked him a question..
"Beautiful isn't it? Shame you humans block out most of nature with your…"
The moment he called her a ‘human’ she snapped at him, “You are mistaken, I am not a human.” Even when she said this he continued, “…artificial lighting...to think I almost forgot why I rarely venture into concrete cities...pathetic, hmph" he droped his hand on his for after pointing at the moon. The man’s way of speaking made no real sense to her, their encounter was obviously just fate that brought them together. Zhara offered a cold stare as he looked deep within her eyes ignoring the fact that she was well equipped; the Edana coat was split open right down the middle, her hips and thighs glimmered of metal alloys from her choice of weaponry. Under the dim light of the street lamp an unusual glow skimmed down from top to bottom, only visible to the quick eye.
As soon as he wielded his weapon he moved abruptly, leaving behind an piece of clothing as a distraction. Zhara caught on quick as the article of clothing hit the ground. The sound of his movements caught her attention giving her enough warning to turn and face the direction of his attack.
Even though the elf could not see any grace in her chase after a enemy’s accomplice, most of her gracefulness was found in her subtle movements. Zhara unsheathed her katana the moment the stranger leaped, as he cut through the air he would immediately notice the change in the wind around them the moment she raised her katana horizontally in guard form against the angle of his weapon. There was no sound between the two swords--and just for a second there was a sense of pause in time, an exchange of a cold stare between the two as her face remained the same--keeping close contact of her newly found opponent who had earned mutual respect for not being a coward. However, Zhara had gracefully manipulated the wind around her to slow down the sword down to a short halt. A freehand quickly pulled out a dagger from her side and with a quick flick of her hand it darted towards the elf’s neck; if it were to hit it’s target it would severely wound the cords of his neck and bleed non-stop.
