Sasuke Is A Fraud

Here's an interesting development. I stumbled upon this thread (http://rpgpalace.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15236746)* a couple of days ago and, though I'm always appreciative of good artwork, was a little bit suspicious. Firstly, some of you folks may know Sasuke as the admin from RPGP. Secondly, Sasuke has a rather juicy history of lying (recall him claiming he was asian, perhaps a pathological liar?). Though I felt a little bit guilty at this point for doubting him (I mean this artwork is very good), I went with my 'total bastard' instinct and decided to hunt these images down.

It took a whole 2 minutes for me to find them. I searched DeviantArt for 'Fuji Syusuke' (one of the characters Sasuke supposedly drew), and after a little bit of scrolling found this (http://jakuu.deviantart.com/art/Fuji-Syusuke-62176913), which links to this profile (http://jakuu.deviantart.com/). At first I thought it could've been his profile, maybe I was being a little too harsh (fat chance), but Sasuke definitely isn't a 23 year old resident of New Zealand who's actually asian in descent. Lo and behold, 3 of the other images he drew cropped up in this Jakuu guy's gallery as well.

Just a slight informative addition, Sasuke seems to ironically be involved with an ambitious project featuring two TokyoPop artists.

I... I can't believe it! Okay... I was guest liason to Mara Aum and Erica Reis, two Tokyopop manga artists, and it was the most amazing weekend I have had in a VERY long time at Saboten-con. Though... here is why I titled this so. I showed them some of my original art and they loved it. Here's the good part... they told me they would take the copies and show them to the Tokyopop editors!!! Not only that, Mara gave me two websites for Del Rey and Yen Press submissions as they are now accepting american manga. I sent in my electronic portfolio to both two nights ago and I just got a reply back from Del Rey saying they want to work with me on a graphic novel project!!!!! My dream... it's come true, guys! I'm a professional manga-ka! Well... I've just now started, but I still am! *faint*

There's always been speculation about Sasuke's drawings, no one's just been motivated or bored enough to go about actually finding out if they're his or not. At least they're similar in style, his earlier "works" looked real different from eachother.

I remember him taking requests and them not turning out in any way, shape, or form from the person's demands.

Yeah, I knew Sasuke personally at one point. I've actually seen some of his art that he drew right in front of me, and it was pretty good. I looked at that thread that Liam posted, and I see that Sasuke has exploded in his art skills. Pretty nice job, man. Okay... over the past few weeks in band I have started to become good friends with a new member. She is a Sophomore and her name is Patricia. I just found myself completely infatuated with her today and I can't stop thinking about her now. I haven't been this happy in a long time and it makes me feel like I am on top of the world!

I love talking to her. She makes everything fun and I can't believe I met someone like her. She's funny, smart, fun to be around, really cute, and... dare I say it... just as Otaku as me! We did the Haruhi dance today. ^^

I've known 2 people who lie about nearly every aspect of their lives. I think it's because their real life is so shitty, they lie and pretend to be someone else that they would like to be(for instance, manga artist). I used to work with a guy, and I used to hang out with a guy like this years ago. It's a bit sad that people resort to this type of behavior.

The artwork was obvious to anyone who knows what his actual drawing abilities were, previously. Someone doesn't get that good in such a short span of time. I know people who are extraordinarily good artists, and none of them were able to go from crap to great in such a short amount of time.

Yes... this is true that I passed off Des's art as my own. This was all in the past and this past weekend at Saboten has reformed me of sorts, but I really doubt that it matters at all. Though I haven't posted any stolen art here and I planned to put my original art here and in my submission it really is moot point now. Guess my career in art is ruined, but I will still try. I did a horrible thing and I guess there really isn't much I can do to make up for this. I was in the process of turning myself in to everyone I had ever showed Des's art to, but I guess that wasn't enough, as you can see. *points to comments*

Everything I am saying here can either be believed or not... it's all up to the reader. I lied for a long time about the art and I wouldn't be shocked if no one ever believed what I said again. Normally, I would be enfuriated by these actions as I have said nothing but the truth on this website, but I guess I deserve this. I doubt my submission will be accepted now, but I won't stop.
