Alright so I'm building a new computer...ok well, I'm buying the parts for a new computer and my friend is going to put it together for me. I'm looking to spend between 600 and 700 dollars on said computer thats going to be primarily for gaming. I'm looking for 2gigs of ram, an intel processor probably dual core. But thats as much as I know as far as parts go. Anyone willing to help me out and link me what parts I should buy, such as bare bone and what not from. Primarily from Newegg.com. I'm not to worried if the case is pretty or not, as long as it works. Thanks to whomever will be aiding me.

Make sure to read the whole thing, seeing as Ferret and Sean helped him save more money, got him a new mobo, ddr2 ram, and what have you.

A dual core processor for less than $700 and still be a decent computer? Good luck there, man. You'll have a kick-ass processor with lackluster everything. And I see an 80 GB HDD in your future. Integrated sound, video and NI cards. The horror! MAKE IT STOP.
