I wrote this song in a MIDI program. I want you to hear it, but if you're gonna listen to it through iTunes, QuickTime, or some sort of QuickTime plugin (or basically anything not made for Windows or anything that does not use Microsoft MIDI Mapper to playback your MIDIs) then don't bother.

You see, these products don't play MIDI back the way I've intended it. Ideally, you should be using Windows Media Player. You know you're listening to the correct version of the song when you see somewhere around "5:06" as the total play time to the song.

If your end time for the song is anywhere near "19:11", then don't listen to it with that program. You're using some sort of shitty device that will try to emulate MIDI and it will fail. There's a tempo change in the middle of the song that will not be read by iTunes or QuickTime, this will make most of the song v...e....r....y....s.....l.....o........w and that is why it totals nineteen minutes in length.

SO, WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER, OKAY?

Please enjoy. Let me know what you think.

By the way, the clarinet is supposed to be the vocal line.

It's a bit slow to start for my taste, and is stuck in minor keys all the time. I'm into happy peppy music as far as taste goes, so the beginning doesn't suit me. I love the turnaround at about 1:20. I was almost ready to give up on it until about then. :p

Overall reminds me of Sonic, to be perfectly honest. I'd totally dig playing with this in the background of most Sega games I've ever played... XD

Also.. at 1:53 there's like.. a cut where there's no sound. Was that intentional?

Great work.. :3

FUCK!

Just kidding. Yeah, that was intentional. There's a bass legato slide during that part.

TWM is right, I use TabIt. It's a guitar tablature program, so you input notes as if you were playing a guitar. You might be more suited for a piano-based MIDI program unless you already know some guitar. Liam and Ehsivar use this program as well, and we have in the past for the MIDI Contests.

Yeah, piano-based would probably be a bit better for me. I know only the slightest bit of guitar. Piano I'm at least mediocre at. :p Do you.. use your keyboard or is it a point-and-click type deal?

Sadly, limited computer access so... That'll have to be put on hold. :(

Can we expect another MIDI contest sometime? :3 I liked that a lot.
