This is a thread where anyone can post really good recipes that are extremely cheap.

Today, I'm gonna be showing you how to make some really good burritos that are Sam approved.

Yes, I'm in my bathroom.

First, you'll need these things (give or take, I'm not gonna tell you what you like):

I have here shredded monterey jack and cheddar cheese (the Kroger brand only costs $1 on sale and it's better than the national brands), two frozen Marquez burritos (only about 60 cents a piece, give or take. What can I say? I'm a poor bastard.), crushed red pepper and oregano (I'm not telling where I got these specific brands, but you should already have some seasonings, if not then what the fuck, dude? Go get some, they'll probably last you the rest of your life. I'm using oregano because I'm out of cilantro, but I recommend you use cilantro.), and some Tapatio (use whatever hot sauce you like, but Tapatio is the best. It has chipotle in it, so it has that subtle sweetness. It's hot too, so don't get any ideas.).

First things first. Get a small glass and fill it less than half way with water. Put this glass into your microwave on the side. Why do this? This is a technique that will help keep your food from getting dry in the microwave. Especially with frozen burritos, the beans tend to get dry from nuking them. This will solve that problem. I recommend you leave the water there and fill it up every now and then, it will make your nuked food better. Be careful of filling up the glass after you've used it. If you've heated the water and decide to fill it up with cold tap water like a jackass (especially after I warned you, wtf?), then you deserve it.

Now, unwrap the burritos and toss them into the microwave. Assuming you have a normal fucking microwave, and you chose the best frozen burritos ever (Marquiz), you will need to heat these up for 2:30. Take them out, put some cheese on. You choose how much you want on your burrito; ask yourself, do you ever want to shit again? Put the burritos back in the microwave for 1:30, this should finish the burritos and melt the cheese. If the cheese isn't melted in the middle, get a new microwave. It's okay if it's not melted, it will probably melt in a few minutes anyways.

Now put hot sauce and your seasonings on, and bam, you have a awesome fucking meal for, like, $3. Plus, after you've purchased the ingredients, you'll only have to purchase the burritos afterward.

Say what you want. It's good.

Nice ways to fancy up some ramen:

Add some mixed veggies. I prefer frozen, but to suit a budget canned is okay too. Add it into the water and let them cook a little before adding the ramen. I find this works best with chicken flavoured but to each their own.

Instead of just going with the boring old noodle and broth approach, you could try mixing in a can of diced tomatoes and adding a little garlic. The noodles absorb the tomato juice well and a can of diced tomatoes goes for about 70-90 cents around here. So it's a nice little pasta meal for roughly a dollar.

I don't have a recipe, but I'd just like to say that looking at those burritos makes me really hungry.

^ what Steve said.

Also, in addition to the frozen vegetables, we used to buy some ground beef and make spaghetti with our ramen.

Here's some ones I did just five minutes ago. This time, I added green sauce, sliced grilled chicken, and a different blend of cheese.

Wesker approves of Guinness.

If you grab a can of tomato soup and a cheap bag of popcorn, after making each respectively, mix them together. Not only does it taste good, but the popcorn will help fill your stomach up.

Hahaha, curse my cellphone quality. I promise these look more appetizing IRL. I added chips and salsa as an alternative for the second burrito.

I made a party platter because I like to smoke. On this, there's roasted vegetable Rits, shredded, black pepper turkey, sliced muenster cheese, and a deli-style mustard with horseradish and everything.

I do 95% of my cooking in a rice cooker, mostly because I've been eating rice every day my entire life. This method of cooking gets me a full, home cooked hot meal in about 20-25 minutes, but it's only workable if you have one, maybe two people eating.

What you do is wash your rice and start cooking it in the cooker. Just in case you didn't know, when you wash rice, you run it under water not until the water runs clear, but until it's lost about 3/4 of the white color in the water. I recommend jasmine rice.

Once you have started the rice cooker and there is barely any visible amounts of water left in the cooker (unlike in the picture), you lay some chicken wings and veggies on top. By the time your rice is done, you'll have some steamed chicken and veggies to go with it.

I recommend Chinese broccoli. Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce is delicious.

You may have tried this before if you've ever had Dim Sum. It's just steamed Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce on top.

If I am cooking for more than one person, I steam my meat and veggies separately using a metal plate, steam rack with legs, and large pot.

And there's the secret to authentic Cantonese style cooking. Marinate everything in soy sauce, salt, green onions, and ginger. And maybe some garlic. Easy peasy.

I don't have any pictures, but I'm like some kind of crazy master chef. My friends love to come over to my house and force me to cook them dinners.

Here's an example of lunch I made the other day: Chicken Quesadillas.

I take boneless chicken breast and dice it into bite-sized cubes, then season it with a rub of garlic, cilantro, and thyme. Grill it in olive oil (doesn't matter if it's extra virgin), and set to the side. If you've got some minced garlic it works better than powder in my opinion, but whatever.

Now for cheeses- any blend works, but you've gotta have that. A blend. I prefer to shred my own, so I buy blocks of cheddar, monterey, and mozerella, and shred them together. Also set to the side.

Now get some soft flour tortillas. Brand doesn't matter, but larger and softer is better. Lightly (LIGHTLY NOW) butter one side, and flip into the skillet. I use cast iron, most of you faggots probably don't have a cast iron. Anyway, quickly plop some of your cheese down, line cheese with chicken chunks, and close tortilla, using the melting cheese to seal it shut. Grill for a few minutes, flipping to make sure you get it to the brown you want it at. Some don't like them very crispy; I like a light crisp to mine, medium browning.

Cut in half, serve with salsa or sour cream to your liking. Bam. Takes maybe 15 minutes and is orgasmic.
